Cleveland Cavaliers

History
The Cleveland Cavaliers got their start with the NBA in the year 1970 as an expansion team. The team would run into a series of winning and losing seasons. However, in 1980 under direction of their new owner Ted Stepien the Cavaliers would make numerous free agent signings and trades that are considered to have ruined the team. It was so that the NBA enacted a new rule that would not allow a team to trade first round draft picks in consecutive seasons. The rule was named the Ted Stepien Rule.

In the 2003 NBA draft the Cleveland Cavaliers would get their shot at a future NBA Star by winning the #1 draft pick and selecting player Lebron James. Lebron, a player entering the NBA draft from high school, was the recipient of media attention grabing the national spotlight as the next big name to venture into the NBA. James has also drawn comparisons to Michael Jordan being dubbed "King James".

Some of the Cavaliers most notable players throughout team history have been Terrell Brandon, Shawn Kemp, John "Hot Rod" Williams, Mark Price and Lebron James.
